On this day in 2023 Eddie Howe returned to Dean Court for the first time
Bournemouth's favourite son returned to the club with his Newcastle team for the first time. The game, a fitting and entertaining 1-1 draw saw the points shared between the club he built and his current employers. His departure from the south coast, amid relegation and COVID prevented any real farewell to the AFC Bournemouth supporters. Howe was visibly emotional as he applauded all sides of the stadium where he made our wildest dreams come true and that was replicated in the stands. Always a Cherry, always one of our own.
